The MIMsafe VarioCage Double Medium is designed for travelling with two dogs in the boot of a suitable vehicle. Its removable divider provides separate compartments, helping prevent the dogs from reaching one another during travel. Remove the divider when a single, wider compartment is preferred.
The telescopic design lets you adjust the crate depth within its specified range to make better use of the available boot space. Check both your dogs’ measurements and your vehicle’s boot dimensions before ordering.

Safety
The VarioCage Double G4 has undergone crash testing at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden using the SPCT (Safe Pet Crate Test) method. The method covers frontal impact, rear impact and a corner-drop scenario intended to represent a vehicle rollover. The built-in deformation zone is designed to help manage impact forces during a collision.
Install the crate behind the rear seat and secure it to the vehicle’s cargo loops using at least two straps, as instructed in the assembly manual. Check the cage, door locks and securing straps regularly. RISE provides further information about the testing institute.
Materials & construction
Constructed from galvanised steel with a weather-resistant powder-coated finish, with splinter-resistant and energy-absorbing elements. The lockable doors use gas springs to help hold them open.
Size & dimensions
These are the manufacturer’s dimensions for the VarioCage Double Medium. Measure the narrowest points of your vehicle’s boot and tailgate opening as well as the space needed by each dog.

With the divider fitted, the available space for each dog will be less than the total internal width and will depend on divider positioning. Use the official size chart to check fit.
Adjustable divider & installation
The divider is fixed at the central door post and can be set to the left, centre or right at the rear escape-hatch end. A central position creates two similar compartments; angled positioning offers unequal compartments where the dogs need different amounts of room. Follow the official Double G4 assembly instructions for fitting, securing and depth adjustment.

We have now used the pet stroller 8 times, our dog is an older Labrador with mobility problems, it takes a bit of coaxing to get him in the stroller but once in we think he enjoys it, it gives him and us a chance to get outdoors again. The stroller is very well designed, the fold down ramp is a great idea, the mesh sides and front allow him to look at everything around him, and the front can be left open so that he can meet other dogs. The stroller is so easy to manoeuvre and a joy to push, the adjustable handle has 2 height settings the lowest is ideal for me being just under 5 foot. I have not used the rain cover yet or the bike adaptor so cannot comment on these. I hope the zips are good quality especially on the fold down ramp as this is used a lot. Overall we are very impressed with the stroller, we have had so many people asking where we got it from as they have never seen one for a larger dog before.

Easy order and quick delivery
Great buggy for my 15 year old cockapoo - eased him into it over a week and by the weekend he was loving the opportunity to rest his legs on our walks - well built, easy to assemble and Manöver. Plenty of room for the dog to sit or lie down with handy entry and exit options at the front and back. Did some off road adventures with him in Sussex which resulted in a slow puncture which was easy to fix with a bicycle repair kit - would recommend and have done so already!
Great design, good fit. Hopefully over time it will prove itself strong enough to stand up to holding a buggy.

Great pram for our Parson Russell Terrier, good size for him, easy to set up/pack down and easy to manoeuvre. Quite sturdy, feels safe when he’s in it. Wasn’t sure if he would go in but he seems to enjoy himself in there. He’s almost 13 and gets a bit tired on a longer walk so it’s great to give him a bit of a break. Would thoroughly recommend it, a reasonably priced nice looking pram.
