The Small carrier with a flexible handle, ideal for smaller pets. The flex handle adjusts and tilts—press the adjustment buttons on both sides to tilt, and listen for the “click” to confirm it’s locked. The handle must be in the upright vertical position whenever the carrier is used in the vehicle.

Side Impact Protection (SIP)

Every Maeve includes SIP—Side Impact Protection—for use in the vehicle. Attach the SIP clasps to the SIP ring on the centre of the carrier, then repeat on the other side. The bottom of the SIP wraps around the perimeter of the carrier frame, lining up with the top edge of the frame. Always attach SIP to the side of the carrier that faces the vehicle door. SIP is for in-vehicle use only and must not be used on the opposite side of the carrier mesh.

The Base: Designed for Safety & Stability

This bundle includes Tavo's dedicated vehicle base with integrated stability leg. The base secures to your car's ISOFIX/LATCH anchors, keeping the Maeve carrier locked firmly in place during travel. The stability leg extends to the vehicle floor for an additional layer of anti-rotation protection. When you reach your destination, the carrier lifts off the base in seconds—ready to use as a cosy bed or carry bag at home.

Before placing the carrier on the base, ensure the handle is in the upright vertical position, magnetic buckles are secured, and SIP is attached. Do not use the carrier leash when the carrier is in the vehicle. Lower the carrier onto the base until you hear a “click”—the carrier is connected properly when the indicators on both sides of the base are green.

The Maeve carrier also clicks directly onto the Tavo Roscoe Stroller Frame, so your pet’s familiar space travels with them from car to pavement without missing a beat. The Roscoe is sold separately.
